X-Pac® X11, backpack-laminate with organic cotton, Cotton-duck, 390g/sqm
X-Pac® X11 is the updated version of X-Pac® X10 that stands out from all other X-Pac® styles with its 100% cotton outer fabric. This outer fabric has now been upgraded by Dimension Polyant: The slightly heavier cotton is an organic cotton with a much more uniform weaving and coloring. In addition, X11 uses X-Ply fibers made from recycled polyester.
Overall, the main properties and applications stay the same: X-Pac® X11 uses a strong cotton-duck as the outer fabric instead of nylon. This gives this highly technical backpack laminate a natural touch. The feel is much softer, and the look is cotton-typical matte. Thanks to the transparent polyester film laminated on the back, X-Pac® X11 is reliably 100% waterproof, even after long use and multiple folds. The laminated-in X-PLY reinforcement fibers increase tear resistance and dimension-stability. They are only visible on the ouside as a subtle structure. X-Pac® X11 cotton duck is ideal for durable, functional backpacks, panniers, bags, etc. with a natural look and outstanding technical properties.
ECOPAK® EPLX200, recycling-backpack-laminate, 146g/sqm
ECOPAK™ by Challenge Sailcloth is a backpack laminate made from 100% recycled polyester. Similar to a sailcloth laminate, this fabric laminates an outer fabric together with a UV-stable, highly waterproof polyester film or ripstop polyester. The strong, blue CrossPly polyester fibres lying in a diamond shape between the layers increase the tear resistance and prevent the material from stretching in all directions. In addition, the CrossPly fibres give ECOPAK™ its typical, technical look. In the EPLX versions, the smooth film is on the inside; in the EPX styles, a lining of 70den ripstop polyester has been laminated on. This lining additionally reinforces the fabric, e.g. at particularly stressed seams, and ensures a light interior in backpacks and bags. The area of use is determined by the strength of the outer fabric and the associated abrasion and tear resistance.
X-Pac VX07, backpack-laminate, 165g/sqm
X-Pac by Dimension-Polyant is a very unique gear-material. With its multilayer-construction it combines several properties: abrasion-resistant 70den-ripstop-nylon on the outside, a thin polyester-tafetta on the inside and strong X-PLY fibers inbetween. This makes the fabric extremely tear-resistant, durable (not as durabel as the VX21-style), 100% waterproof and gives it a very good structural stabiltiy. The X-PLY-fibers give the fabric its typical diamond-shaped structure. With the white inside it is easy to search the content of your backpack. Ideal for lightweight and durable backpacks, haulbags, luggage etc.. This fabric has been used for years by arcteryx, black diamond, klättermusen etc. for high-performance-backpacks.
